Hyland Hills Hockey Association

8U Evaluations for Hyland Hills 8U will take place during the weekend of Oct 29th and 30th.  Below are some general guidelines for our evaluation process.

• All skaters are to skate in skater gear (no goalies)
• All groups are FLUID so players will move UP and DOWN this weekend
• All skaters MUST wear their evaluation jerseys this weekend

Each of the sessions are 2 hours long so we will make sure to take many breaks during each skate.  The purpose of our evaluation weekend to get place all skaters with others of same level and ability. 

By the end of the weekend we should be able to have the following teams.

• 1 group of Mini Mites (just learning to skate)
• 4 Teams of Beginners (9 players each)
• 6 Teams of Intermediates (9 players each)
• 4 Teams of Advance (11 players each)

Groups 1 and 2 will ONLY skate for 1 hour on Saturday.  The ice time was from 6:30-7:30AM and we did not think a lot of 4 year olds would want to hit the ice at 6:30 in the morning. 

Groups 1 and 2 will have 2 hours on Sunday.

Regarding the 2 hour time blocks.  We will make sure that there are plenty of breaks to give the kids a chance to rest.  Please bring water bottles for your child that are clearly marked.

The Groups below are updated on 10/29/2011.  If your child is NOT on one of these Groups and you have registered, Please contact Rob Cuscaden as soon as possible.

NOTE: These groups are fluid so skaters will be moved from one group to another based on the Group Head Coach's recommendations.  Please check each week to see if your child's group has changed.
