New Information from around the Association
2010-2011 DNHL SEASON
For the 2010-2011 season the DNHL committee has decided for safety reasons to have 2 levels in the Midget division. Rec 1 and Rec 2. This is a one year test.
Rec 1 will be for the more skilled players and give them more of a challenge.
Rec 2 will be for the lesser skilled players and give them the ability to improve their skills.
The levels for Hyland will be divided up by Shawn and Doug.
Coaches will be selected but not placed till the levels are divided.
After the Rec 1 and Rec 2 levels have been divided the evaluation process will proceed as normal.
After the MLK weekend there may be crossover game(s) with the worst Rec 1 team against the best Rec 2 team.
For playoffs Rec 1 and Rec 2 will have separate playoffs and separate Championship.
As for Squirts.
All Squirts will have clinics according to the hockey director.
On the weekend of October 9-10 the teams will be drafted.
Games for Squirts will start on October 30th. Once a month they will have 2 game weekend could be the same day. This way they will have the same number of games as the PeeWees and Bntams.
Hyland will not allow 8u players to play at the Squirt level.

Midget 2-1
Bantam 1-1
PeeWee 1-1
Squirt 1-1 (except for once a month it could be 2-0 or 2-1 in the same weekend.)
We are looking to get some coaches.
Are you interested in clinics and/or Total Hockey sessions added at least to Squirt and Pee Wee divisions. These would be EXTRA touches and would have some extra costs depending on the number of participants. Please ask for feed back about that to you and/or me.
