Welcome to the Hyland Hills Hockey Association website. Founded in 1970, Hyland Hills is now the largest hockey association in the Northern Denver area. Hyland Hills plays out of the Ice Centre at the Promenade which is the premier ice hockey, and only three sheet, facility in the State of Colorado.
Hyland Hills offers a full compliment of youth hockey teams and opportunities and are designed for the beginner to elite AAA player. HHHA offers a premier 8 & Under development program, competitive travel teams that participate in the CCYHL, recreation teams that participate in the DNHL and a AAA program through our affiliate the Roughriders.
The Hyland Hills Hockey Association (HHHA) is managed by a nine member Board of Directors, elected by the membership. Each Board Member serves a two year term. A list of our current Board of Directors can be found here.
Board meetings are open to all HHHA members and are usually the 2nd Monday of each month. Members are encouraged to attend the meetings to get the inside scoop on what is going on in our Association. Meeting minutes will be taken and the approved minutes will be posted in the HHHA office.
HHHA is a member of the Colorado Competitive Youth Hockey League (CCYHL), Denver North Hockey League (DNHL), Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA), and USA Hockey.

The Hyland Hills Hockey Association is committed to getting as many kids on the ice as possible. The HHHA has approximately 700 members annually who range between the ages of 4 and 18 and with room for a few more - especially in our 8 & Under program. All returning members of the Association are guaranteed placement on an HHHA team (CCYHL, DNHL or 8U).
Note: Currently there is NO waitlist.
To help facilitate new membership, the HHHA manages a waitlist for prospective new members. Deadline for current members to register is typically May 31st for that upcoming season. Once this initial registration process is complete for our returning players, then we will begin to contact players on the waitlist.
Once determined that a spot is open, then a registration packet will be sent via email to prospective new members. The HHHA does establish priority based on a number of factors that includes, but is not exclusive to (a) needs at a specific level (b) sibling of a current member (c) out-of-state move-ins and (d) order in which they have signed up. A two week deadline for registration will be offered to the prospective player. Once the completed registration packet including deposit is received by the Association, the player can choose to tryout for a CCYHL travel team or request placement on a DNHL team where player evaluations are used to select comparable teams. Selection to a CCYHL travel team is based primarily, but not exclusively on ability, commitment, attitude and work habits and is the decision of the HHHA Coaching staff. If the registration packet is not received in the 2 week period, then that player is removed from the waitlist and the spot will be offered to another prospective player.
Thank you for choosing Hyland Hills Hockey Association! If you have further questions please contact Association Staff at 720-240-4691.

Notice how so many of the teams come from Ontario.
