1. Check in table.

2. Information
a. The jersey number and names will be sent down to the computer in my office
b. Sheets need to be in numeric order
c. Sheets need to have space to write comments/notes
d. Cut the evaluation sheet down
3. Helpers
a. Jersey check out – 3
i. Divide teams and make sure players get the right numbers
ii. Make sure players are placed in the right position
b. Registration –2
i. Make sure everyone is USA Hockey registered
ii. Make sure everyone is paid up with HHHA
c. Equipment Managers – 3
i. Make sure that there are water bottles/pucks and cones at each rink.
ii. Collection of water bottles/pucks and cones
iii. Make sure the party rooms are ready for the teams once they are picked
iv. Will be in the party rooms when the list is read one more time for the team.
d. Locker room helpers – 4
i. Maintain safety in locker rooms
ii. Make sure players clean locker rooms
iii. Make sure that no players are causing problems after the list is read
iv. Watch for kids that pick on other kids
e. Jersey collection – 2
i. Collect jerseys after the team has been picked in the party rooms
ii. Collect Jerseys at the end of try-outs
f. Computer person – 1
i. Person will print daily list for coaches
ii. Person will print final copy of team list to be posted and read to parents
4. Schedule
a. Schedule will be posted on web site and on the communication board
b. Try-outs are schedule to start August 21, 2009
5. Posting of list
a. Will be posted on the web site
i. Please allow for 5-10 hours before looking on web site
ii. By age and jersey color/number
iii. Names will not be used
iv. If unsure please call Diane or Colleen
b. Will post list on communication board
c. This will be done for every team.
d. There will be a mandatory meeting for the team set by the coach of the team for the following day. At this time the list will be read again, by coach/BOD member. This is to make sure that everyone is in the right place.
e. Final team selection has to be sign off by Brian Sutton and Head coach before it can be posted on the web site
6. Jersey Collection
a. Players will keep their jerseys till they are picked for a team.
b. Jerseys will be collected at the team meeting.
c. If a players is cut he/she needs to hold on to their jersey for the next try-out.
d. At the end of try-outs all jerseys will be collected.
e. Wash jerseys after each try-out session
7. Player Cuts
a. Cuts will start after the first game 1st
i. Handled like final cuts
ii. If cuts are made after the first game the remaining players will be posted on the web site
iii. List will be posted on bulletin board
b. Cuts will continue after the first game for each level
c. There will be no reverse cuts
d. When cuts are made an announcement will be made to the parents and players that there will be cuts tonight. The cut list will be posted on the web site
e. Cuts have to be approved by Brian Sutton
f. Final Cuts will be approved by Brian Sutton.
8. Evaluation Staff
a. Every division will have coaches at each try-out session.(All the bantam level coaches will be at BAA/BA/BB1 and B2 try-outs)
i. Head Coach
ii. Assistant Coach
b. Head coach will take all the information in then make his decision on the players he wants
c. Executive Director and Assistant Director will voice their opinions as to the players on a selected roster.
d. If a player is a huge question then Jamie and Brian will make a decision about the player.
e. Evaluator will have to give all the information back to Dave or Brian after each session. This is to keep information in the office.
f. If coaches want to do spread sheets then they can do it on one of the office computers and print it out.
g. The try-out information is to be given to no one but Brian Sutton / Dave Fromm.
h. Coaches need to stay away from parents during try-outs
i. I do not want parents or kids in the coaches room that do not belong there.
9. On- ice Instructors
a. Head Instructor will be Dave/Brian/Doug/Rich/Mike/Boyd
i. Head instructors will run the drills and give feed back to the coaches

10. Scrimmage
b. On ice instructors will not do the age group that they coach at.
c. Assistant on ice instructors
1. Move pucks
2. Make sure players know the drills
3. Assist in passing on information to other coaches or assistants
4. Move pucks/cones/nets
10. Problem solvers
a. If parents are upset please advise them of the 24 hour rule. Do not getting into a verbal battle with a parent in front of others this is what they want.
b. They can set up a meeting to see their players evaluation once try-outs are over, not during.
c. Coaches do not talk with parents
i. Parent will want to talk to see how their player is doing
ii. Talking with parent can give the wrong perception
iii. If a parent has a question send them to one of the helpers do not try to answer the question
iv. Coaches are not allowed in Benders when there division is trying out.
11. Coaching Advisory Committee- Dave Fromm/Brian Sutton/Doug Smail
a. The committee will deal with all problems that arise at or during try-outs.
